To the Patients and Families of Center for Pediatric Medicine,
It is with mixed emotions of joy and some sadness that I am announcing my intention to retire from active pediatric practice in June of 2019. It has been an incredible journey thus far, and I am so grateful for all that my patients have taught me.
The transformation of caring and genuine concern goes full circle between us. An additional bonus for me has been the added joy of caring for the “2nd generation children”, whose grandmothers I fondly refer to as my “80’s Moms”. It’s an extra special visit when they come along.
This has been a difficult decision for me simply because I love my job! My colleagues and staff at CPM have helped to create an environment of professional and personal care as well as a “second family” for me. Many wonderful friendships have resulted over the years.
I look forward to redirecting my love of pediatrics in some volunteer activities and plan to stay connected to CPM as well.
It’s been an honor for me to have a part in caring for our patients over the past 36 years. I wish everyone well, and please know that you have the best group of pediatric professionals caring for your children! Fondly
Dr. Joan Magner
